This leader in fastener technology wanted to impress buyers at two national hardware chains by generating sales for its Phillips II Plus exterior wood screw. The plan was to target deck builders in North Carolina and provide them a sales code for 40% off the online purchase of a 25 lb. box. To ensure the offer wasn’t overlooked, LSHD designed a tongue-in-cheek dimensional mailer that let recipients know finding the perfect (deck) screw was easier than they thought. In fact, it was right in their hands. The mailer included a sample screw for builders to try, while the “handwritten” message on the back cover directed them to a url to learn more.
